The Ideal Baby Travel Checklist: Here's What You CanNOT Forget.

Are you planning a trip with your baby for the first time? Honestly, you'll be overwhelmed by the amount of gear your little human will require when they are out of the home. But we have you covered with a a quick packing list to help you travel with your baby without a scare!

Travelling with babies is as much fun as it is daunting! There's a lot of things you need to carry and we know moms, you are constantly worried about forgetting something. But that's okay, just relax! All you need to do is make a list and start packing well in advance with plenty of days and hours in your hands.

A lot of your travel requirements will depend upon the destination that you've chosen, but here we will cover some basic and the most essential elements which every mom will need for a comfortable and pleasant trip.

Firstly, let's start with the BIG stuff your tiny passenger will need:

A travel Crib:This has got to be one of the most essential things on your baby travel checklist. It's always a good idea to buy a baby carrier that is light, to give your child the cosy feeling at all times whilst still being comfortable and free! These are sure to make your travel experiences more convenient and hassle-free.

A travel stroller: What better than the comfort of your baby's favourite crib? Try and carry it with you if possible. No need to panic if you are not able to take it along as many hotels provide free cribs. You can call and check in advance. Also, there are many baby gear rental shops which can help in times of need.

A travel stroller: Moving around your holiday destination can be made super easy by carrying a travel-friendly stroller. Make sure you carry a light stroller that’s foldable to go easy on the weight of your travel baggage.

Food/milk: Carry sufficient food and drinks for the journey and also some extra for the unforeseen delays at the airports and other places. The essentials food items and milk supplies can be taken along and the rest of the stuff can be bought at the destination. Most of the flights allow carrying more than 100ml of milk if it's for the child. But it's always suggested to confirm before booking the air-tickets. Try and choose a baby-friendly flight for additional benefits.

Easy to wash clothes and additional items: Carry lots and lots of rompers and onesies as they are extremely easy to wear without having to worry about the perfect pairing of tops and bottoms. Take some sleepsuits and comfortable pyjamas for the night-time. Try and wash or get the clothes washed wherever you are staying. Don't forget the cute pair of socks, carry them in sufficient numbers, no matter if its summer or winter your baby might need it even in the slightest of cold weather. Along with the regular clothes, add some jackets and sweaters to your bag. Take a summer hat or a winter cap as per the weather conditions. You might also want to add some cute, colourful headbands, hair bows and other accessories. Not to forget the baby shoes. Try to get one or two which can easily compliment all the outfits.

Essentials: Carry sleeping bags so that the babies can sleep comfortably even during the transit. Baby lotions, sunscreens, powders and a baby wash are a must-have. Don't forget the medicines if any, and a first aid kit for the baby. Carry extra diapers and also, swimming nappies if required. Also, plastic storage bags should be brought to throw the diapers.

Nursing and Feeding list: Carry a wrap or cover which will make breastfeeding easier for you on the go. If you have been feeding the child through a bottle then don't skip the sterilising equipment. If you are confused which one to buy, check this out. Bring burp cloth, at least one per day. You will want some baby wipes to clean the surfaces before making your babysit, as busy places like airports and inside areas of the flights possess a higher risk of infections for your little one. Carrying an insect repellent is a must.

Things for fun and entertainment: Pack their favourite toys for them to play with when boredom strikes. You can also carry some fun games and soft toys which they are familiar with to keep them entertained and busy on the trip. Books and movies may also help. You can take along an inflatable ring cushion / travel tub if you have any plans to take the baby into the pool or for just providing the little one with a soft and comfortable surface when outdoors. Don't forget to take their preferred blanket as it will give them a warm and comforting homely feeling.

These are the most essential items that you will need while travelling with your adorable one. As all babies are different, their requirements will also differ but don't panic, if you forget to carry certain stuff you can always buy on your way or at your destination. In today's fast world, most of the common things are readily available at every place. Do you know what supermoms would do to be on a safer side? Have a list handy of the baby gear stores and food supply shops near the hotels before leaving to be prepared for the urgent requirements. Now that you know everything, just get excited because travelling with your little one is sure going to be one of your most beautiful experiences. Don't shy away and get ready to answer a fun question. What is the one thing that you are most excited about while travelling with your baby? Let us know in the comments below.
