Symptoms & Changes during 3 Trimesters

Wondering what exactly happens to your body while you are pregnant? How does a baby exactly grow in your womb? We have put together all the information you need to know about this crucial 3-trimester duration of your life. Let’s dive in!!

From week 3 to week 38, this is how your baby grows over the span of 3 trimesters of pregnancy.

First Trimester (Week 0-13):

You may find the pregnancy symptoms crop up early, sometimes even before you miss your monthly period. Some of you may even feel completely normal throughout the first trimester. These symptoms vary from person to person, but the most common complaints include fatigue, nausea, breast tenderness, frequent urination, etc. By the time you find out you’re pregnant, you are one-third way through your first trimester. Your pregnancy starts from the day of your last menstrual period. So, your first-trimester begins about 2 weeks before conception occurs. This stage is very crucial for the development of the baby. This stage includes the formation of an organ system and the outward change from an unrecognizable embryo to a foetus that resembles a new-born. Ladies, you must definitely avoid caffeine, switch to a pegnancy-friendly diet keep your hydration in check modify your skincare to suit the pregnancy

Second Trimester (Week 14-26):

LADIES! Guess what? These months are going to be the most comfortable for most of you. This trimester will bring a decrease in nausea, you will get better sleep, and it will also enhance your daytime energy. Although there’s a good likelihood of new symptoms, like backache, cramps, heartburn, etc. Moms to be, know that pregnancy is not easy, but you’ll find these months pretty manageable if you have the the right pregnancy tips up your sleeve!

Get ready girl! Your baby bump is finally going to show up, and you will feel your baby move for the first time between 16-20 weeks. Your baby’s body size will have tripled in the second trimester. His fingerprints will be formed, and the digestive system will start working.

Third trimester (Week 27-40)

Be prepared for your doctor visits to increase. This is the time where you’ll have a huge baby bump, making it harder to find the perfect sleeping position. You may face problems like shortness of breath, morning sickness, sleeping problems, frequent urination, difficulty in moving. Overall, a pervasive feeling of discomfort envelopes the third trimester. However, all of this will be worth by the end of the pregnancy as you’ll have your baby.
