1. Communicate with experienced moms:

Friends with children or your mom are the best advisors when it comes to pregnancy-related questions and helps you with several tips and tricks on how to take care of yourself. Why miss the opportunity to learn from the experience?

2. Keep your partner in the loop:

It's essential to make sure that you and your partner are on the same page before your baby arrives. Your partner won't know his role during labour until and unless you communicate. Do you need his support in the labour room? Is there anything specific that you need around delivery? You’re your heart out to him. Apart from all that, you may face anxiety, do not hesitate to talk to your partner about it.

3. Arrange for extra aid:

In a few days after having your baby, you will be needing assistance. You can hire a nanny, house help, doulas who can help them through pregnancy and labour. Why stress when you can get help?

4. Baby-proof your house:

It's safer if your pets don't sleep in the same room as your baby. Pet-proof your place. Watch out for corners and make sure that the baby cradle does not have sharp edges. If the edges are sharp you can use babyproofing edge and corner guards to protect your baby from hurting. Did you baby proof your house?

5. Calm yourself down:

Throughout pregnancy, you will feel exhaustion, which will lead to emotional overload. Give yourself a break, take a quick nap, go for a walk, meditate, do yoga, or get a prenatal massage. Sleep early and maintain a consistent schedule. Pamper yourself with some mild caution.

6. Pack your hospital bag:

our labour could start at any time, so it's best to get all your essentials together before time. Pack all the things you'll need for labour and for after the birth. Some essentials may include medical coverage files, socks, slippers, nappies, etc. Have you packed your bags, already?

7. Perceive about nativity process:

Contemplate on taking a childbirth class, and learn more about the baby delivery process. It's a good idea to start looking into classes midway through your pregnancy. You can also watch informative baby delivery videos from professionals to know what you are getting into.

8. Stock up the essential:

Frozen food, toiletries, medicines, toilet paper, shampoo, etc are very important so make sure all these items are stocked up before the baby arrives to eliminate the future hassle.

9. Prepare the older child:

Enrol in a hospital sibling class designed for children and parents to learn together about what it means to become a new sibling. Talk to the older sibling about the arrival of the baby. Involve him/her in planning and make sure he gets his individual attention.

10. Stay active:

Prenatal yoga classes help you maintain flexibility, will strengthen your muscles and help you relax. Walking is easy and available on your doorstep. Hence, walking is a great place to start if you're not used to exercising. Don't exercise for more than 45 mins at a time.
